A successful app is not just about the features and functionalities, but you cannot miss the UI/UX factor as well. Being a UX designer your aim is to create engaging user experiences and drive visitors to turn into leads.

However, in this race, a focus only on aesthetics, take shortcuts, and end up relying on various common design patterns and trends, can cost your app’s success.

If you think that users will figure out UX on their own by reading the instructions, then sorry but you are designing an app that is doomed to failure. Because the secret is NO ONE loves to read the instruction.

A good UX makes your app obvious, self-evident, and self-explanatory to use, with no tutorial or instruction crutch to rely on!

A great UX design is all about making your users happy with the app. So it is very essential to give them every possible reason to get a curve line on their faces.

Let’s identify some UX mistakes that can obstruct their journey and make them grow closer to your competitors.

Giving a DITCH to universal icons

DITCH

Being creative and using something unique to give that OOMPH factor in the app design, is not a bad choice. But your users need to understand what it means, and if they fail to comprehend then sorry to say, but your creativity is serving no purpose.

The rule is even an ugly icon that everyone knows beats a beautifully designed icon that no one knows.

So stay careful!

App responsiveness; who cares!

App responsiveness is not a choice but a necessity! You need to ensure your app looks great no matter what gadget the audience uses. If the app is not responsive, it leaves an impression that the app isn’t functioning properly, and might be broken.

Hence, give them every element that works flawlessly on every device.

Keeping a form saga

Yeah, you heard it right. The lengthiest forms to fill out the basic details of the users are painful. Users come to your app to access everything with instant access, and what you give them?

You welcome them with a set of unnecessary questions, that really forces them to abandon your app and uninstall it.

Make the form fast and simple, users have no time to be wasted on filling the details.

Growing overconfident with your model

overconfident

Don’t play over smart, there are chances you can go wrong. It is a good decision to bring something original and creative, but here you don’t need to turn into a self-centered cow, and become obsessed with your model. And ignoring users in the process.

Wake up!

Your app is made for the users, so it must have the flavor of their expectations. Failing to give attention to it, is where the actual problem starts.

You need to merge the two sides, where one speaks of users’ expectations and the other side brings your creativity into real practice.

Filling app space with EXTRA content

It is very obvious for the users to avoid the excessive content written on the app screens, to jump to the rea feature. In this run, you are likely to make them miss the relevant information. Your users are in hurry, and you are dealing with people who have ample opportunities in the market available. Hence you need to be extra careful while putting every piece of information on your app.

Keep the content CRISP that matches with your interactive design.

Going overboard with ENGAGEMENT

ENGAGEMENT

Ever heard of overemphasizing in an app?

It happens quite a lot when you misunderstand engagement with app aesthetics only. I agree, aesthetics are important, but your entire focus need not go on it. You need not get carried away by too many images, an extra dose of animation and music. Here, you need to engage users to relish the app, not interrupt their experience.

Keep them minimal and don’t let them fiddle with your users’ experience journey.

Destructive navigation

You must have got what I meant from the title. Yeah, you got it right, am referring to poor app navigation, leading customers to travel from one feature to another in the app, and still fail to provide the required information.

Remember, navigation is one of the most vital parts of your app, that drives your customers to the goal of the app, so make it simple and easy.

Flood of pop-ups

Gimme a BREAK!

Your marketing team must have instructed you to give pop-ups to drive conversion, but you need to hold the horse. Sometimes too many pop-ups blur down the real-value of your products and services, and it sounds nothing but salesy and gives the audience that you are not a reliable product, as you are pushing hard to SELL.

Chuck it away and make pop-ups lesser and not sounding absurd within your app.

Moral Learned!

The secret sauce to building an intuitive user experience is a well-thought approach given while designing an app. Here your users and their expectations should be your prime focus, helping you to create UX that is a perfect blend of creativity and your users’ mental model.

Invest your energy in crafting an app product that is easier to use. Your users shouldn’t have to depend on an instruction crutch to operate the app.

There are many other mistakes that can ruin your project, this is where the Techugo team steps in and ensures to offer an impeccable product for your audience to enjoy.

The fitness app and wearable industry are growing at a rapid-fire speed, and to make this work on the right path, app technology is proving its worth. In the year 2007, brands like Fitbit, Jawbone, and Nike entered the healthcare and fitness market, and sooner they were joined by Samsung, LG, Pebble, and other companies.

Although, the recognition Apple Watch has gained, is worth to watch for, where it has skyrocketed the wearable  app device popularity to another level.

This post unravels, some of the most mind-blowing hardware technologies that help redefine the fitness app development in 2023.

GPS

It would be wrong to say that GPS is the soul of fitness tracker devices, and helps the wearer to track their fitness regime carefully. If you wonder that how does GPS work, then you would be surprised to know that within the GPS technology, there are more than 30 satellites, which come forward and create an efficient space for the users to map their routes, know their exact position, and measure their speed.

Some of the most popular Smartwatch series like Apple Watch Series 4, Sony SmartWatch 4, Fitbit Ionic, and Mobvoi TicWatch E2 have built-in GPS functionality.

Galvanic skin response sensors

Do you wonder how much you sweat and how frequently your body temperature shifts during fitness activities?

Well, this is very much possible with F7 Real-time GPS Watch and Huawei Watch 2 4G. These wearable devices let the users monitor their Galvanic skin response and further measure stress levels.

Barometric altimeters

Well, not many of us know that a barometric altimeter is an efficient alternative to GPS, and is used for measuring elevation and altitude tracking. With the help of this technology, the device collects data on elevation and allows users to garner the most accurate information related to their movements.

Accelerometers, gyroscopes, and compasses

Indeed, this set of technology is utilized by every modern wearables and smartphone. Let us give you a quick tour of these technologies.

Gyroscope- It is a device, utilizing the earth’s gravity which further determines the orientation of an object in space.

Compass- On the other hand, a compass determines the cardinal direction of an object.

Accelerometer- It helps in measuring the acceleration of an object based on motion, end of the motion, and its intensity.

With the help of these technologies, the motion of the users, while walking, running, cycling, and swimming gets measured. Further, with this collected data, fitness devices collect and calculate speed, distance traveled and calories burnt.

These 3 technologies, can be utilized as separate pieces of hardware, or can also be integrated within one device as well. This is what Apple Watch Series 4 has embraced, where you can find an improved gyroscope and accelerometer.

 Ambient light sensors

These are the sensors, which detect and measure the amount of light present in the environment. This enables human eyes to reduce eye strain and keep using the phone without hurting their vision. Although this sensor is quite popular in Samsung and iPhone range, wearables are also embracing this technology to make a difference.

Optical heart rate monitors

Calling it a blessing from the technology pool wouldn’t be wrong! With this very hardware technology, it becomes easy to track changes in blood saturation by passing light through the skin in specific places. These places can be on the user’s wrist, finger, biceps, forehead, or ear. This enables to monitor heart rate pulse with LED beams at a wavelength of 525–535 nanometers (exceptions are there). Pulse Ox Acclimation helps users to keep track of how their body is acclimatizing with higher altitudes by tracking the blood oxygen levels.

On the other hand, the Apple Watch Series 4 has an ECG app, that helps in generating an ECG similar to that generated by a single-lead electrocardiogram.

What developers must pay attention to while developing fitness trackers?

Well, it is a million-dollar question, because users are the only deciding board, whether your integrated technology has won their heart or not. Apart from technical features, there are other essentials as well, which must be taken into consideration for a saleable fitness tracker.

  • Wireless syncing lets the device to send data to a mobile app in real-time;
  • Push notifications keep the users informed and updated about their achieved goals, and is also a way to encourage them further.
  • Water-resistance is a much-needed aspect that lets users perform their activities in any weather condition.
  • Unisex design allures users to pick your device

Food for thought

Indeed, the beautiful invasion of technologies in the fitness app domain is remarkably incredible. The creative side of development gets exploration when new devices and technologies come into existence helping users to develop a healthy living style.

TL;DR

  • The app development cost is based on features, complexity, platform, and the number of other technical points;
  • Costs vary depending on the location and size of the selected app builder;
  • Many factors like the budget for support, server, and marketing must be discussed before-hand.

For a business to run smoothly and reach to a wider audience base, is a dream, which can be materialized with a digital identity. A mobile app is the best answer to this need of the hour, but there are different layers of development associated with this process. And one of the most troubling factors is the app development cost.

How soothing it would be to get the cost before sharing your app to the developers?

Indeed, it would be, but hey wait!

There’s not a fixed price for the design and development of a mobile app product!

Well, that must have CRINGED you.

Yeah, I know, but this is the BIG-FAT fact that cannot be ignored. So let me read aloud once again for you

A MOBILE APP DOES NOT COME WITH A PRE-DEFINED COST!

The cost of your app design and development truly depends on what you’re trying to accomplish. You need to understand a simple logic behind this game, an amazing app does not come into existence within just a few dollars, and at the same time spending a HEFTY amount does not guarantee its success.

Have I brought you more confusion?

How about scrolling this post further and explore what I mean…

Understand the goal of your app

To start with you need to understand the difference between a $5k and $5M App. An app that aims to serve Billions of users traffic monthly, requires some complex technicality behind it. And such a high-load functioning app would need different aspects to be served, which would increase the cost. On the other hand, an education app, with no extraordinary features, would certainly not required any high-end technology to run its mechanism and will cost lesser.

You can observe that the price differs because there are different features in the above-mentioned app illustrations. Henceforth, it is unambiguous that the price of an app has more to do with features and what purpose you build it for.

There is indeed no rocket science to get a mobile app, but the cost bug always violates the mind and brings different confusions and doubts in the mind. As mentioned above there is no cost Bible available in the market, where you can pick one specific cost, and fit your needs. However, there are ways through which you can control the app cost and give wings to your dream.

Let’s get on a tour to find out how you can keep the budget within your limits and still bring a quality-laden app solution into existence.

Hop onto MVP model

You indeed looking for the quick-road to get an app developed, here a prototype makes your idea tangible so your investors could understand what you want to build. MVP is the best suitable answer for your needs and helps you test your idea on the market first, and then work further on the development of a complete product.

Also, with the MVP model, you get the opportunity to deliver your app product in the market in the fastest and cheapest manner possible.

App functionalities; MINIMAL is best

The functionalities play a huge role in spiking the cost, as they can be complexed enough, requiring different technologies, that can lift the app cost. You must not go overboard with the functionalities and must ensure to build a product that fits your budget.

Play smart with technology

Maybe it is little clichéd here, as technology is already smarter than you think. However, what is meant here is selecting the RIGHT technology and framework. You need to pick the efficient tech solution that decreases the app development cost, and in this race React Native and Flutter are the best options to proceed with. Building an app on these platforms can expedite the development process and reduce the cost to a greater extent.

Hiring developer; pay attention

Whoa! It sounds scary and disturbing as well, but TBH, you must remember that not all expensive developers are good and not all cheap developers are bad. The rule in app development suggests “What you pay for is what you get”.

You might feel that using the cheapest developer is a good idea, but in general, the reverse is true. It means if you want to get the best services then don’t get conned by the low-cost gimmick. To attain quality don’t be afraid to hire a developer who costs double then your prospect development company, as quality should be your focused approach, not the cost.

So, finally how much does it cost to make an app?

Well, if you skip all the factors related to complexity, then a very basic app, with the very basic features can cost you around $20,000. However, this is just a number that cannot be fixed at one particular figure, and go beyond and above. Every phase of the development comes with its own cost, whether it is the app design, app development, app testing, or app marketing. Every facet involved in the app journey has a certain amount related to it, and you need to pay to developers for their efforts, either in lump-sum or milestone-based cost plan.

The Bottom Line

To consider different factors before giving a chance to your app project, does not bring any harm. You can evaluate the different cost segments, such as cost for a support time, any hard costs for marketing and advertising, and QA. Just ensure you include those costs within your budget to truly evaluate the bottom-line for bringing an app to market.

Every UI/UX designer looks forward to an efficient app design for their app or web product. This is one of the most prominent factors, helping users to stay glued to the platform. With this post, we are going to discuss how the hamburger menu is still a popular navigation option and some other alternative menu options.

What is the hamburger menu?

Have you ever noticed those three horizontal lines on the top of the website or app? Yes, that is a hamburger menu, which collapses on clicking. The hamburger menu is without a doubt one of the most enduringly popular navigation bars. As it saves space, and provides a neat looking UX. That’s the reason it is designer’s and businesses’ favorite.

The hamburger menu found its existence in the design world, when in the ‘80s interaction designer Norm Cox designed it as part of the interface for the Xerox Star. However, this incredible navigation bar found its recognition in the year 2009, mobile apps became a household stuff, and people realized the worth of it. The very limited screen space it consumes on phone screens make this bar an engaging space-saving tool.

Let’s find out some more benefits it has got to offer…

Why the Hamburger menu is charming?

Well there are multiple reasons behind it, such as:

  • It makes navigation a breeze
  • Easy to be understood by everyone
  • It boosts functionality to the next level
  • Saves screen space, slowing designers to try other creativity

Now you must be wondering what are the alternatives to the Hamburger Menu?

You must know that user-experience is the key to the success of a mobile app, wherein every single usage on the app or website gets elevated further. If you think user experience is only about the features and functionalities then you are hugely mistaken, as design elevates every aspect to another level.

There are multiple options available in the design space to pick from, which can help the design world to experience the best of the strategies.

  • Tab Bar Menu
  • Full-Screen Navigation Menu
  • Scrollable Navigation Menu
  • Progressively Collapsing Menu
  1. Tab Bar Menu

You should know that the tab bar is a navigation menu, that helps in organizing content or landing pages by tabs. Within the web design and apps, this menu option has become super popular. It allows visitors to see the navigation options right from the start. However, there are few guidelines to be followed for creating a Tab Bar menu…

  • One of the options in the tab bar menu must be active;
  • To stand out the active tab, include some contrasting color;
  • Keep the first tab as the home page;
  • There should be an order of the tabs;
  • UI/UX designer needs to arrange tabs logically and related to the content;
  • With every navigation option, use icons with labels.

Although, the tab bar menu is similar to the hamburger menu, in context of hiding content. But, with the tab bar menu, users get 4 or 5 visible top-priority navigation options on the screen all the time, that elevates the experience.

  1. Full-screen navigation menu

A good question indeed! The full-screen pattern menu is solely devoted to the home page designed for navigation. Such a menu is hugely beneficial for unleashing in-depth information without disturbing the user experience. Within a full-screen navigation menu, to view other options, users need to tap or swipe while scrolling up or down. You should know that this type of menu is the perfect choice for the websites focusing on a task or direction.

  1. Scrollable Navigation Menu

Are you catering to the long lists? Then the scrollable navigation menu is suitable for you. It allows your design to get different navigating options without creating a big distinction in priorities. If you are offering a service for the on-demand food delivery app, and willing to list the differences and larger list of restaurants, then a scrollable navigation menu will help you scale it further. It also allows your users to access the options to move from side-to-side. It goes without saying, but such a menu option is a perfect fit for the news, music, eCommerce, or restaurant categories. As it allows the users to explore more content with the scrollable navigation menu effortlessly and access services.

  1. Progressively collapsing menu

Yes, this is another alternative to the hamburger menu, which is also referred to as the priority+ pattern menu. The reason it is picked by the UI/UX designer is due to the fact that it easily adapts to the screen width and allows users to view as much of the navigation as possible. It works just like the tab bar menu and lets the designers hide other tabs through a more button.

Food for thought

No wonder, we consume a product first from eyes, and this is where the role of efficient UI/UX strategy comes into the picture. And helps products get sold effortlessly, however, a minor mistake picked in this journey can spoil the complete plan. Therefore, you need to get an app project handled by the best UI/UX designer company – Techugo, and help your app grow immensely.

Our team is working relentlessly amid pandemic to help you get the incredible app solution with a sizzling UI/UX to captivate your end-users for longer.

A good time spent on your mobile app, often leads to some serious shopping business, because users love the app design experience and find it different from the website, and they can easily grab the required information at their fingertips.

Mobile apps come in different shapes and sizes fitting the requirements of every business and end-users and are quite many in numbers, but every mobile app wins the heart of every user, is not necessary, and gets rejected by the users after few strikes on the app.

As an app developer, when you invest your skills and talent in the development process, yet the final outcome is not welcomed by the users, generally leaves you with a drained mind, that when every aspect is perfect then how a mobile app is not faring well on the stores…hmmm, it is disturbing and unpleasant to know, but unless you know the major root cause it can really not work in your favor.

Apart from the development challenges, the stage which requires a deep understanding and has to be tackled intelligently, is the Design of your mobile app, which cannot be ignored at all, and must be given full attention and must be designed after a thorough research and understanding of the end-users. Also, there are certain DON’Ts which most of the app development companies follow unknowingly and these mistakes, take a toll on the success scale of your app, so let’s discuss some of the don’ts which must NOT be considered while designing your mobile app, let’s take a look….

Mistake # 1

Overcomplicating App Design

I personally have a belief that, ‘keep the things simple to avoid complexity,’ and it completely fits the bill of app design. Many app designers mistakenly add some designing attributes in the app design, which only make the app design a crumpled app solution, sans any value.

App designing is an addiction and if you don’t control, it only creates the catastrophic situation for your app future. The best practice suggests that keep a strong ASK from yourself that whatever you are designing, is it actually going to help the users, and how far you can reduce the complexity. Work on making your design avoiding the over-lapping the app concept, integrate symbols and interfaces, which are completing the app design and concept.

Mistake #2

Filling The Screen With Irrelevant Content

A mobile app is developed to translate some of the issues and the problems faced by the users, so it must dictate the functionality more clearly and must not give any other fact or information, which is not required by the users.

The formula is very clear, if your users want A-D services then you need to stop at D only, don’t need to talk about E-G, it only confuses your users, so integrate the Design content with the relevant information only, keep yourself away from any superfluous recommendations or advertisements to go along with your app content.

Mistake#3

Letting the tedious On-boarding process

The users, who visit your mobile app, often have very little time and ZERO patience and the worst point fact suggests that users always yearn for something new.

App designers try to grab the users’ attention with the animations, which is indeed a nice aspect to make a tight grip on users, but if your app serves this every time, wherein your users want to make a quick entry, then these animations irk further. Keep the on boarding process effective and ensure that the users can relate to it, rather getting aversion from it.

Mistake#4

Avoiding the UX Design Mapping

The UX design mapping is the thoughtful planning of an app’s UX architecture, and it lets you analyze the design work required in a mobile app.  App designers who generally chuck the design mapping, they create a confusing and bewildered app design, where everything exists without a systematic approach.

Get a hold on the app UX design mapping, sketch down the app flow and once the desired sketch reflects, let it get completed with your finer brush strokes.

These app design mistakes can cost you app rejection, if not considered seriously, so ensure that you miss every possible chance to factor the cause for app rejection. I understand that not every mobile app development company is able to deliver the desired result, but one mobile app development company you can count upon is Techugo.

When I look at a mobile app, much before the app concept the aspect which catches my attention instantly is only the app look and feel, in the more technical form the app UI. You would be amazed to know that the app UI is one of the major reasons behind your apps’ success and failure. Your app UI works as a window, through which your targeted users peep-through the app usability and decide whether your app is a way to proceed with or not.

Expecting users to accept your app with open hands, can only be possible if your app also helps WOW to get released from your users’ lips. It is indeed not a tough job to acquire, but can be an easier journey only if you abide by certain tips. I have compiled together the top 8 tips to get a perfect UI for your mobile app, in this writing today, and would appreciate if you all can read it along with me, to make a phenomenal change in your app to help it gain further success…

  • Remain Constant With Your App Goal

A mobile app can be developed for any industry and services, but has one aim only to add the convenience factor further to your business, so users can access the services without facing any struggle. The app concept can have a larger number of features and functionalities as a part of it, but the app must not dictate the different flavors, it would only make the app concept unclear to your users.  Initiate with one goal and remain stick to it until the end.

  • Simplicity Is The Key

A mobile app is developed for the humans, so don’t let your over-creativity creating ambiguity amongst the users. If your mobile app serves 1 red button for rejection in one screen, so it must remain the red button till the end screen of the app for rejection, don’t confuse the users by integrating different colors, shapes, and fonts on every screen. You should know that users are never going to use the manual to access your mobile app, so shun the ambiguity in your app, by keeping it as simple as possible.

  • Be Easy Going

Many times when I access the mobile app, I select some undesirable action unintentionally, and later regret, as a result I try to keep avoiding the usage of that particular action or play extra careful, but I know this is not a helpful move if I would be in hurry someday. So don’t let your users suffer, you need to keep it in your mind that app UI must offer a flexible approach and must allow the users to reverse that action.

  • Pick Words and Fonts Carefully

Your mobile app has the relevant content to guide the users further for any action. The text of those directions plays a vital role in the mobile app and save the every possible confusion to occur at this stage. You have to understand that users prefer what, and what they are more comfortable with. Keep the familiar words ‘Home’ ‘Back’ and ‘Exit’ are some of the examples, which users are able to understand easily, so replacing them with some different words is not an ideal option for your mobile app.

Also, the font style you pick for your app marks a huge deal. A mobile app is developed for different devices, so your choice of the mobile app must be appropriate, which is easy to read and complements the style of your UI.

  • Navigation Matters

As I have mentioned above a mobile app is for the convenience of the users, so the user’s navigation through the mobile app must be fast and smooth, with the compete guiding buttons, so users can find what they are looking for with an ease.

  • Reusability Must Be There

There are many stages in your app, wherein your users have to feed certain details, ensure your mobile app supports a system wherein the details uploaded by the users, are saved, so if the users need to fill the details again, they need not type again. This step is very significant for your mobile app, and if your users need to fill the data, again and again, it irks them further.

  • Color Scheme

This is the aspect, which attracts the users when they first open the mobile app. Eventually, colors work on the psychology of your users and help them to get connected with your mobile app. In order to win over your customers, you need to pick the color scheme very smartly and it should not be a random decision, you need to pick the color scheme, depending on the users’ location, app concept, and the users’ preference as well. This would help you find the right mixture of colors to match your app’s style.

  • Pick Icons Carefully

App icons are the significant part of the mobile app, and they hold a significant relevance in developing the successful mobile app. The app icons create a great impact for the overall mobile app, there are different types of icons :

  • App Icons – for app representation
  • Clarifying Icons – for explaining certain tasks
  • Interactive Icons – for navigation purpose only
  • Decorative Icons – for alluring look

Indeed, these are some of the essentials to be included in your app UI to make it a perfect combination to get along with the app success. We first buy something from our eyes…and I think this statement is absolutely correct. You can easily observe the actual state of this statement, after looking at the most obvious situation of our life. When we go for an online or offline shopping mode, for any need, the first aspect grabs our attention is the look of that object, and then we proceed with checking the price-tag and the quality, in other words, the quality is judged by the look of the product. This is not a shocking situation which I have mentioned herewith, rather it is a very common situation, which happens with most of us in day-to-day life, when a customer wants to make a buy, the first thing he looks for is the design and the overall look of the product, since that gives a feeling wherein your own reflection comes through the products and surprisingly this is applicable not just to the dress, utensils, electronic devices, but even on the mobile App Icon which we use daily to solve the numerous purposes of our lives.

Although with a mobile app, this rule is religiously followed, since there is a chaos of mobile apps in the app world, which offer the users a myriad of options to try, if not happy with the one. Many app developers have a disbelief that mobile apps are only about their functionality and the features, but they forget that app design too is equally and very much important since it helps the users to pick the mobile app at the first look. The mobile app design consists of various segments, but since I want the designing part to be elaborately discussed, so I would be discussing the relevance of app icon design today. Hope it would be of some help for you, and you would gain the detailed insight from it.

Relevance of An App Icon

Relevance of An App Icon

At first, I want to address the reason why an app icon is significant and needs to be given attention. The app icon actually works to promote your brand and spread the awareness about the same, it is that small, but important part of an app, which represents your business functionalities and is a reflection of your business. This app icon remains available on your user’s mobile 24/7 and needs to be given importance since it would remind your users about your business, so it needs to be something unique with a perfect blend of your business identity and your users’ requirement. So below mentioned are some of the MUSTs you need to consider carefully while designing an app icon…let’s proceed…

  • Shape & Color Matters Most

We all have different choices and our work reflects our personality, but when it comes to designing your app icon, you need to be little simple and sophisticated with the icon’s shape and color, so it can gain the instant recognition amongst the users. The color of the icon should be reflecting your services, for instances, for a fashion brand the bright color theme and unique shapes can be picked to reflect the real essence of the industry, but for a technology brand, the color and the shape must be in accordance with the taste. It is vital for you to understand the industry and its targeted users to serve the right app icon with a perfect blend of suitable background and shape. While picking the color for your icon, try to make a contrast, for instance, if blue (the mostly picked color for the logo) is your logo color, then pair it with something brighter for a greater impact.

  • Don’t Confuse Icon With An Image

An app icon is itself suggest a story about your products and services and be very careful while including the image in it, rather I suggest to make the app icon a combination of graphic visualization and logo mark, so users can recognize it visually. Since an is hard to be recognized at the small size of the icon, and can never get deserving recognition, so try it to be a more graphic representation of your ideas, helping the icon to gain the visual relevance.

  • Shun The Words Away

An icon is a small representation of your visual ideas, which represents the client’s business in a detailed manner, adding words within an icon is a complete NO because the scarcity of space makes the words crumble and unrecognizable. The thumb rule suggests avoid the inclusion of text altogether unless they are a part of the logo, and even in such cases, it needs to be carefully integrated. I recommend to go sans text, but if no other choice is left, then ensure to include a descriptor line under the actual icon, this would not hamper the flow of the app icon design.

  • Know About Your Competitors

I am not advocating the cut, copy and paste option here, but I am referring to something more serious here, primarily known as ‘influence’. By studying your competitors you make a point that you can get the ideas from their icons, and can create a unique icon for your specific needs.

Designing an app is indeed a tough job, and needs thorough research, you cannot just get up and start developing the mobile app icon, there are certain rules you need to follow to adhere to the requirements of users, platforms, and design, since it is an essential aspect needed to make your app taste the success. An app icon, whether they are detailed or simple, conventional or creative, but all have one purpose to serve, that they should be able to draw people’s attention to it, so crown your mobile app with a chic piece resulted through the hours of dedication, visualization, and efforts.

The another aspect which matters most for the app success is the mobile app development process, which needs to be only carried out with a right mobile app development company, so your mobile app can gain attention and success in no time. If you are finding it tough to get a right mobile app development company for your app concept, then you should consider a leading name in the app development field that is Techugo.

Shopping is preferred by everyone, at times as a therapy, need or the enjoyment. Whenever, I personally hear the word Shopping, a sensation sparks within me and make me go online and look out for the best options available. The social media channel like Pinterest has a different way of portraying the images for shopping, which is quite enticing and catch attention. Now Google has also made an entry in this genre and has started its handy tools; where after tapping on an image would give the full-fledged information of products featured within the photo.

How It Works

For an instance, if you are looking at an image of a handbag and sunglasses, just by moving your cursor on it, you can avail the links to buy the handbag and glasses. This feature is yet to expand further, and as of now, it is only accessible in mobile searches within the Android search app. Google has a plan to improve the categories and platforms further this year since the categories of products are now limited only to handbags, sunglasses, and shoes. This feature completely based on the machine vision and analyzes the products and chooses the similar product.

Although, as per Google, the “price and availability information” have been a top request from the image search users, and Google has made the image search option more convenient and exciting for the shopping aficionados, since this option does not only reveal the particular product, but it also gives the related information to the users to buy more attentively. It is expected that this feature would certainly open the doors of revenue to the Google and give a cut-throat competition to the existing sales revenue of many companies.

The advancement in the app technology has already made the users go down weak on their knees, and the advantages received from the app technology are in abundance and is fruitful in our daily lives. I am young, wild and free!!!

These three words depicted my personality much better than any other word in the McMillan dictionary, a year ago. That was the time when I looked up to myself as a torch bearer for my era of youth, where the ideas are tuned into a concept in a jiffy. I considered life is all about enjoyment; I loved shopping & hanging out with my friends aimlessly and I hated the nagging phase of my parents while asking for my daily pocket money, undoubtedly I enjoyed the free space and the attention I received while posting numerous per 30-minute basis, selfies on FB. That phase, I assumed a heaven for myself, till 28th Oct 2015.

Curious to know? Well, this date transformed a young brat into a mature web designer, so today I can boast easily that I do not just represent my era on the personal but also on the professional ground as well. To continue with my saga, I have done Web & Graphic Designing course, after being influenced by my brother, who also happens to be a Graphic Designer. On 28th Oct 2015, I entered the premises of an MNC in Noida, casually with my friend, since he had a scheduled interview with one of the top mobile app development company- Techugo. On being greeted, I asked a random question from the company’s HR, “Can I also appear for an Interview, though I don’t have a resume with me”, on which I got a reply “YES”. I was taken aback for a while because I assumed I would be denied to take an interview, but I was allowed. I gave the interview, and to my surprise, I was selected also, but my friend was not, it was quite a Bollywood situation for me. I joined the company, dispersing the negative force which I was pushed towards by my friends since they thought I would be working and would be missing being young and all the luxuries it involves with.

To my surprise, each and every person from senior most to the junior management, helped me to feel an integral part of the company. Today after almost 9 months, I am an independent young girl of merely 19 years of age and getting the moolah magic in my bank account every month with my salary, whereas my friends still look for the pocket-money from their parents. On the contrary, to my parents past nagging, now I am a cause of their pride and continuous praise.

Undoubtedly, I have polished my skills and refined my talent after being associated with Techugo from each angle, I have been given various opportunities to experience and explore the latest tech-trends more deeply. For instance, recently I designed a PPT about Mobile Payment, where I learnt that 39 percent of all mobile users in the U.S. had made a mobile payment in 2015. This is up from 14 percent in 2014 and by my estimations pit will be in the 70 percent range by 2017. Unknowingly, we mistake, mobile payment as one only thing but actually, it is a huge market with different wings spread. Mobile payments have been constantly evolving, with more recognizable brands endorsing this feature to adopt the advanced technology and consequently offer what consumers and businesses want in terms of mobile apps and services that allow them to pay with their phones.

Google has recently announced HANDS-FREE. It’s a new mobile payment app that uses either Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, this app allows you to keep your phone in your wallet or purse. Google is also tinkering with facial recognition to confirm an individual’s identity.

When it comes to “pay” as a feature, Apple, Android and Samsung are just the tips of the iceberg. More tech companies will continue to roll out their mobile payment platforms. You’ll be able to make purchases directly from social media apps like Facebook and use WhatsApp as a commerce channel. Big data, beacons and sensors are already helping merchants reach customers. With big data, merchants and retailers will be able to send targeted coupons, promotions, flash sales and even the chance to complete a purchase in advance.

Being a little impatient, I am restless to experience this tech-feature, no matter what, how and when it will happen but it would certainly going to help the young blood like me, who would drop in their pocket anytime to buy the best of all of the world.

And one last thing I forgot to mention, now my three words characteristics have been replaced by some new and enticing adjectives, and now my characteristics speak something like this: Young, Ambitious & Independent. So the way to go to edit this 3 words very soon once again…till then stay young and remain connected…Ciao
