Decoding The Technical Aspects Of Mobile App Design

Mobile App Design

A mobile app, sounds too jittery and technical for a person like me, who had a rich past of non-technical days, wherein I could not be traced with any sort of technical knowledge and on an honest note, there had been nothing on the planet earth, Mobile App Design which could convince me to have a technical glare at the most.  But the introduction of mobile apps at large in our lives has made it relevant for me, to understand the complex and stringent nature of technology imbibed beautifully in the mobile apps. Just like me, there is a huge number of audience, who has the toughest time to deal with the technical forte and get a little hesitant to proceed with the mobile app due to the compressed understanding of technicalities involved in the mobile app development, which is unfair, since the need of mobile app is ubiquitous for your business, and needs to be included in your mobile app.

If the technical terms hurled by the app developers are distressing you, or the Googled information is increasing the tension further, then today I have brought some of the most commonly used terms in the mobile app development, which would give you an insight, so your app development requirement can be made easily. Also, the misconception related to any technical term can be removed after reading it ahead with me, so let’s start the journey…

  • What Is The Wireframe?
    Wireframe

The very first time I heard of a Wireframe while being associated with Techugo- a top mobile app development company, I could not understand even a bit of it and the print of it on a plain sheet increased my stress more. After 30 min of intense understanding sessions, I realized what Wireframe stands for? It is basically a sketch in the commoner’s language, and you decide to proceed with the design of a mobile app, then this sketch comes in existence, which explains that how each page of the mobile app would look like. It is indeed a very vital part of the mobile app and it lot more depends on the designer and his/her conceptual and visualization power. After understanding your business and its requirements, the app designer defines the application flow with the very first sketch of that how the mobile app will look like, which buttons would be there, which page would follow the previous and how the mobile app would look, this all in total makes Wireframe.

Things To Remember

  • The app designer must have the crystal clear ideas about the business requirement
  • A wireframe needs not have any logo or color
  • Work on the functional elements (boxes, buttons, dropdowns etc) and not on the aesthetic appeal

What Are The Mockups?

movkup

This term would be used by your app developer and you may find it attractive and eventually it is very attractive, since the mockups are an alive picture of your mobile app, which consists of colors, fonts, themes, buttons, logo, notes, font types, navigation menu, etc. are well specified in the app design. This also states clearly that how the final app would look like. It is an important part since the mockup designs let you take a review of the final design before launching it, and eradicate any change request in the app design.

Things To Remember

  • Mockups are also used by the testing team.
  • Your client sees what the actual app going to look like, through mockups, you can make longer, presentation-style mockups as well.
  • Mockups help stakeholders immediately understand the final form of the product.
  • Mockups must clearly explain the app’s color schemes, typography, iconography, and the atmosphere created by its appearance.

  • What Is Prototype?

It lets the users creating a model of the app, so the users can test it in the real-time environment, here within it, users can operate the application and perform its actions. In this stage, users can actually experience the mobile app and can feel that how the mobile app would function, it allows the users to click on the buttons, enter field information, and experience the operational flow of the mobile app. I find this step quite significant because it helps to detect any sort of drawback in the app flow.

Things To Remember

  • Test it on a device, so you can have a much better idea of what looks and works best for the mobile app.
  • Understand what your user wants, this would help you make a more cleaner mobile app, which would consist of only the required elements in the mobile app.
  • Use pre-built UI kits to save you time.

After this blog, you would be able to distinguish that a wireframe, mockups and the prototypes are three different aspects of the app designing process. Just for a recap; wireframe is a sort of blueprint, which represents the mobile app flow with gray boxes and there are placeholders for detailed content. The mockups let the viewers get an idea of how the final app will appear, and the implementation of interactive elements like buttons and icons also hints at the function. On the other hand, Prototypes, demonstrate how the app design works and unleash any inconsistencies in the overall experience.

Unfortunately, not every mobile app developer follows the intrinsic rules of mobile app development and just pick the process of development randomly, which only creates the ruckus in the app development process. As a client, you need to have everything well-documented to understand that which development aspect would be delivered at what stage of the app project and you need to pick a right mobile app development company in India for your app requirement.  You can also get in touch with the right mobile app development company like Techugo, wherein we follow the every required element to make the mobile app development process a memorable experience for you, which you can cherish forever.
