Shock-Waves From Android Mistake-Pool
Recently, one of my friends put an interesting post on FB, which raised the eyebrows of Android lovers, including me. But somewhere back in my mind it hit my sub-conscious to look into the depth of this news. Though, I doubted the authenticity, since Android can never cause this blunder, but I got a sky-fall when I tried marshmallow at my end, and faced the music. Then suddenly it brought some new and exciting revelations to me, on comparing an iPhone with an Android phone. The iPhone has created a splurge on every smart phone available in the market. No surprise, but iPhone eats a big chunk of the profits of all smartphones; on the other hand smartphones in order to survive, end up looking beyond a smart phone. But unfortunately, the race of beating the iPhone, force Android smart phones to make blunders.
iPhone has created a niche for itself in the existing mobile market, and the reason is its rigid nature towards its all features, if you beat your head strong, even then you would not get a single feature which has been missing in any iPhone model since its inception, on the contrary Android choose to pick and choose a facility with its each model, to name a few IR blaster from Galaxy S6 has gone missing from Galaxy S7. The Nexus 4, 5 and 6 had wireless charging, but it was given a miss in the Nexus 6P and many more to discuss. If I talk further, then even the same platform doesn’t act same for all handsets, for instance- TouchWiz interface, it varies from one handset to another; Galaxy S6 interface is different from the interface that runs on Galaxy Note 4, although for writing, they both are based on Android 5 Lollipop. On the other hand, iPhone stands still with a tag of being exclusive and expensive, yet almost all the software features are the same.
Android phone makers always try to give users an experience to cherish forever, but what they forget, these efforts do not go all well with the users. To talk further I will discuss about software platforms, sometimes get so irksome (like my friend experienced), and sadly, you can’t even uninstall them, if you don’t like them.
What Android phone makers are failing to understand, once a software evolves, then it becomes more complex, it needs badly better set of components to run the show with a single technology glitch.
Sorry, Android makers, but such inconsistencies, increase the switching mode always ON for the user to switch from one Android phone to another from the same manufacturer or maybe from the entirely different maker.
So, after scribbling my thoughts over the paper, now I can empathize with my friend and many others, who suffered the horror of Android technology.
